Bryan O Steward
Attorney, Member
Bryan Steward is an award-winning attorney who practices in the areas of Business and Non-Profit Law, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury and Worker’s Compensation Defense.
Attorney Steward has over 30 years of legal, corporate, and education experience. His background includes positions with several fortune 500 companies. Attorney Steward also has served as an adjunct professor with several colleges and universities.
Attorney Steward served the citizens of Columbus, Ohio in elected office, as member of the Columbus City Schools Board of Education, ending his tenure as its Vice President. Additionally, Attorney Steward formerly served as Special Counsel to the Ohio Attorney General’s Office. Attorney Steward is active in the community, church, and is a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc.
Attorney Steward is a native of Columbus and graduate of Columbus City Schools. He has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University’s College of Business Administration, a Master of Business Administration degree from Franklin University’s Graduate School of Business, and a Juris Doctor degree from Capital University Law School. He is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association, Columbus Bar Association, National Bar Association. He has been selected to the National Black Lawyers Top 100, National Lawyers of Distinction and Elite Lawyers. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio, the United States District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Ohio, the United States Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals and the United States Supreme Court.
DARA S. PITTARD LUCAS
Associate
After working as a clerk for The Steward Firm LLC, Dara joined the firm in 2012. She focuses her practice primarily in the areas of business and civil litigation.
Attorney Lucas is a native of Fairfield, Ohio. In addition to her Juris Doctor from Capital University Law School, she received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Howard University in Political Science in 2006 and a Master of Public Administration from the John Glenn School of Public Affairs at the Ohio State University in 2009. She also studied International Human Rights in Switzerland and France. While abroad, she was a visiting student at the World Health Organization, the International Labor Organization and the United Nations High Commission for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland.
Attorney Lucas is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association and the Columbus Bar Association. She lives in Pickerington, Ohio with her husband, Dr. Jonathan Lucas, MD and son, Jonah and daughter Emilia.
FELICE HARRIS
Attorney, Of Counsel
Felice Harris is a proud alumna of Capital University Law School who began her legal career as an appellate attorney with the Office of the Ohio Public Defender. After learning the complexities of post-conviction practice, Attorney Harris prosecuted misdemeanors with the Columbus City Attorney before returning to the Ohio Public Defender; supervising the office’s Juvenile Division, speaking at industry conferences, and testifying before the state legislature.
The consummate learner, Attorney Harris holds a Master’s in Counselor Education and was awarded the CUNY Graduate Center Presidential MAGNET Fellowship (2003-2007) as she pursued a Ph.D. in Criminal Justice.
In 2009, Attorney Harris opened a private practice with a focus on juvenile, criminal, appellate, and AND cases. In 2014, Ms. Harris joined The Steward Firm LLC as Of Counsel, where she lends her expertise in the areas of research, litigation and motions practice. Ms. Harris is licensed to practice law in Ohio, the Federal District Courts for the Southern and Northern Districts of Ohio, the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Supreme Court.
Curtis L. Richardson Jr.
Attorney, Of Counsel
Curtis Richardson practices in the area of Juvenile and Domestic Law and provides full and limited-scope representation in the areas of Abuse, Neglect and Dependency (AND) for parents, Domestic Relations for married persons, Attorney Advocate and Guardian ad Litem services for children, and claims of compensation for victims of crime. Attorney Richardson has more than 30 years’ experience serving individuals, families, and community-based organizations in Central Ohio. His background includes positions as a Public Relations Specialist, Community Developer, Higher Education Administrator and Senior Victim Advocate. He was formerly a member of the United Methodist Church (UMC) Global Ministries Community Developers Program and the National Organization of Victim Assistance (NOVA). In addition, he has obtained various grants for numerous non-profit organizations. Attorney Richardson is a native of Columbus and graduate of Columbus City Schools. He has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Capital University and a Juris Doctorate from Capital University Law School. He is admitted to practice law in Ohio as well as the United States District Court for Southern District of Ohio.
MARYBEL PEREZ RIDLEY
Legal Secretary
Marybel has been the Legal Secretary for The Steward Firm LLC for 10 years. She excels at administrative work for the attorneys and is a favorite of the firm’s clients because she is keenly attuned to clients’ needs. She is highly organized, detail-oriented, and dedicated to the work of the firm.
In addition to working for The Steward Firm LLC, Marybel spent nearly 10 years as a Parent Ambassador for Columbus City Schools, where she helped the school community by effectively engaging parents and students to be the best they can be. Through her work with The Steward Firm and Columbus City Schools, her passion is to change the community where she lives and works, so that it is globally and culturally accepting of others.
MILAS STEVENS
Law Clerk
Milas Stevens is a Law Clerk at The Steward Firm LLC. He is a native of Columbus, Ohio. Milas received his Bachelor’s degree from the University of Cincinnati and a Master’s degree in Public Administration with an emphasis on Human Resource Management from Franklin University.
He brings a diverse amount of experience to The Steward Firm LLC after having worked in multiple fields. He has legal, management, administrative, human resources, marketing, and political organizing experience. Milas started with the firm as Office Administrator, where he managed most human resources functions, accounts payable and receivable, and general law office management.
Milas’ passion for the legal field inspires him in all that he does. Milas is currently a law student at Capital University Law School and aspires to become an attorney. While in law school, he competes in moot court and mock trial competitions. Milas was awarded several scholarships while in law school including the 2021-2022 Floyd D. Weatherspoon Labor and Employment Law Scholarship; 2022 John Mercer Langston Bar Association Scholarship; and the 2023 David D. White Minority Scholarship. He is a member Black Law Students Association (BLSA) where he serves as a local chapter and regional executive board member.
Milas is committed to his family and serving his community. His hobbies include sports, reading, traveling, and spending time with family and friends.
